Work History

  • 40 years of work experience in construction.
  • Raised as the son of a building contractor (3rd generation builder) specializing in custom additions, remodeling, repairs, and new construction, both commercial and residential.
  • Since 1989 majority of the business has been in restoration of damaged structures both residential and commercial.
  • Qualified in forensic consulting litigation as an expert witness in court of law for cases involving construction defects such as foundation leveling, improper shingle application, improper vinyl siding installation, product and hidden defects, termite damage, improper placement of piers & footing, discrepancies in disclosure of home repairs, etc.
  • Consulting, depositions, and expert witness testimony have been provided for both plaintiff and defense work in district courts of Caddo, Bossier, Webster, and Claiborne parishes as well as Shreveport City Court and Federal Court.
  • Done numerous consults with clients and issued reports as to quality of work that never resulted in lawsuits.
    • July 2005-Formed C.A.M.S. (Construction Arbitration & Mediation Service), L.L.C.
    • 1990-Started a division of Moore-Built Construction for the purpose of performing insurance restoration work.
    • 1985-present--Owner and President of Moore-Built Construction & Restoration, Inc.
    • 1984-85-General superintendent for B. J. Andrews Construction.
    • 1983-General superintendent for Don Barron Construction.
    • 1975-84-General Superintendent for George P. Moore, Builder.
    • May-October, 1975-Engineer at Chicago Bridge & Iron in Houston, TX.
    • 1974-1975-Self-employed remodeler during college years.
